Getting started
Before you hire anyone
It is the work that decides whether your business shows up when someone nearby searches for what you sell. In practice that means your Google Business Profile, the consistency of your business details across the web, your reviews, and pages on your site that match specific services and areas.
Regular SEO is mostly about your website competing nationally. Local SEO is mostly about your listing competing within a few kilometres. Proximity to the searcher is a ranking factor in local results and it does not exist in ordinary search, which changes almost everything about the approach.
Profile corrections can show within days. Real movement in the map pack usually takes six to twelve weeks. Competitive categories in large cities take longer. Anyone selling results in days is either misinformed or describing paid ads.
We do not publish rate cards. Every quote is put together after we look at your category, your city and how competitive the map pack already is. Tell us your business name and city through the contact form and you will get a written proposal with a fixed scope and a fixed price.
The work itself
How it actually runs
Usually not. A profile can rank on its own, and most existing sites can take a few new pages without trouble. If your site genuinely is the bottleneck, we will tell you before you commit to anything else.
You do, always. Every profile and listing is created in your name and the access is yours from day one. If we stop working together you keep everything, with no handover fee and nothing held hostage.
Very common. There is a formal ownership request process and, where that stalls, an appeal. We run both. It can take a few weeks, so it is one of the first things we start.
Not in the same city. Two direct competitors cannot both be served properly, so whoever asks second gets a recommendation elsewhere.
Yes, and it is a reasonable choice. We leave a written guide covering photos, posts, review requests and responses. Some clients run it themselves and only come back for a quarterly review.
Rules and limits
What nobody can promise
No, and neither can anybody else honestly. Local results depend on where the searcher is standing, what device they use and the time of day. What we guarantee is the work and honest reporting on what changed.
Proximity. Someone four hundred metres closer to a competitor may well see that competitor first, and there is nothing to fix about that. It is exactly why we measure a grid of points rather than one screenshot.
It is against Google policy and it is one of the most commonly reported violations there is. It sometimes works briefly, then the profile gets edited or suspended and the recovery costs more than the gain.
No. Fake and incentivised reviews are detectable, they get removed in batches, and they put the whole profile at risk. Asking every genuine customer produces more reviews anyway, which is the part most businesses never actually do.
Then we say so at the audit stage and explain why, usually with competitor review counts and category data attached. That is a cheaper answer to receive in week one than in month six.
