Map Pack Tracking
Local rankings are not a single number. The same search, run by two people two streets apart, on different devices, at different times of day, returns different results. Any report that shows you one position for one keyword is showing you a coincidence and calling it progress.
So we measure two things instead. A grid scan, which checks your visibility from dozens of points around your address and shows how far your reach extends. And the actions that follow: who looked, who clicked, who asked for directions, who called.
What the reporting includes
Grid scans
Your position sampled across a grid of points around your location, mapped so you can see where you fade out.
Profile actions
Views on Search and Maps, website clicks, direction requests and calls, month over month.
Search terms
The queries people actually used to find your listing, which routinely differ from what you assumed.
Review tracking
New reviews, average rating and reply rate, set against the businesses nearest you.
Website context
Organic sessions and enquiries from the location and service pages, so the two halves are read together.
A plain summary
One page in words: what changed, what we think caused it, and what we are doing next month.
What you get
- A monthly report of no more than four pages, with a plain-language summary at the front
- A visibility grid image showing your reach this month against last
- Profile action numbers with the seasonal context that explains the swings
- The top search terms bringing people to your listing
- Review volume, rating and competitor comparison
- The next month priorities, agreed rather than announced
pages per report, because a fifty page dashboard nobody opens is not reporting
How the work runs
Tracking is configured in the first week, and the first grid scan becomes the baseline everything is measured against. Reports arrive in the first week of each month covering the month before. We deliberately avoid weekly reporting on local rankings, because the natural week-to-week noise is large enough to make people react to nothing.
